Gregg has been at Gulf Coast since June of 1992. He was the Coordinator of Aquatics for 5 years and took over as Chair of Wellness and Athletics in the Spring of 1996. Gregg graduated from Rutherford High School, Gulf Coast State College and Florida State University.

Barbara Gilbert has been at Gulf Coast State College since February, 1992. She worked in the Success Center prior to joining the Wellness and Athletics Department as the Administrative Secretary in July,1995. Barbara now holds the position of Senior Administrative Assistant. She is originally from Wyandotte, Michigan.

Blythe Golden

Blythe begins her fourth season as the Gulf Coast State College Assistant Softball Coach.  She plans to graduate with her MS in Kinesiology from Texas Woman’s University in December of 2011. 

Gulf Coast:  Blythe played under Coach Susan Painter for two seasons. While at Gulf Coast she helped lead the team to the conference championship in 2005 and 2006; the 2005 State championship; and the 2006 national runner-up. As a freshman, Blythe earned First Team All-Conference, Conference Player of the Year, First Team All-Region, First Team All-State, and First Team All-American. As a sophomore, she received First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Region, First Team All-State and Second Team All-American. In the classroom Blythe faired just as well being selected to the Panhandle All-Academic team in 2005 and 2006; and the President's list in Spring 2006.

Stetson:  While at stetson, Blythe started at catcher in 126 of the team's 128 games over two seasons. All that time catching Stetson's fine pitching staff has enabled her to reach seventh place in career putouts (788). Her 2007 season she batted .240 with 11 doubles (good for second on the team and 11th in program history for a single season), four home runs and 23 RBI. Her 390 putouts are the sixth-highest season total in Stetson history. A preseason All-Conference selection in 2008, Golden has hit six career home runs and driven in 38 runs in two seasons. She will leave Stetson as one of the top defensive players at her position or any other. She also received the Wendell N. Jarrard Sr. Award for a student athlete who exemplifies academic excellence, athletic competition, leadership and moral values in 2008. She was also the Bob Gillies Award recipient 2008 (softball player who exemplifies devotion, drive, dedication, and determination). Academic - BA in Sport Management 3.1 GPA.

High School:  played under Coach Robyn Gauger at Marianna High School in Marianna, Fla. She helped lead her team to the 2004 district championship title; was selected to the National Honor Society, the Beta club and was an honor graduate.

Personal:  Blythe Alannah Golden was born on September 21, 1985 in Marianna, Fla. ... daughter of Alan and Deeanna Golden.
