Gulf Coast Community College is committed to providing an environment for the growth and development of the whole person, GCCC recognizes that athletic endeavors and academic pursuits should complement each other. Students who participate in cheerleading are expected to be enrolled in a minimum of 6 hours, maintain a 2.0 GPA and working on an academic degree. Thus, it is the goal of the college that the student-athlete experience success in academics as well as in athletics. Cheerleaders major in many different subjects from art, business, education, criminal justice, dentistry, psychology, and physical therapy. The GCCC Cheerleading Squad offers a rich tradition of excellence in book scholarship, sportsmanship, and leadership.
