Gulf Coast notches two wins in PCola

PENSACOLA — The Gulf Coast volleyball team improved to 3-0 on the season with a pair of victories over Pasco-Hernando State and Lawson State on Friday.

 

The Lady Commodores topped Pasco-Hernando State in five sets: 25-22, 21-25, 25-23, 22-25, 18-16. They topped Lawson State in three sets: 25-17, 25-12, 25-22.

 

Jenna Ewing led Gulf Coast against Pasco-Hernando State with 26 kills and 16 digs, while Jordan Rayburn added 15 kills and seven digs. Madison Pickens also had 10 kills.

 

Against Lawson State, Rayburn had 12 kills and five digs, with Erwin adding nine kills and 17 digs. Taylor Lawhorn had six kills.

Gulf Coast makes its home debut this weekend with games against Southern Union and Gadsden State on Friday, and two more against Snead State and Andrew College on Saturday.
