McCluney’s two homers, Ham’s Perfect Game powered Lady Commodores to 20–0 win over Andrew College
Lady Commodores powered past Andrew College with a dominant 20–0 victory on Saturday at Joe Tom King Field.
Baylor McCluney led the way with a huge day at the plate, blasting two home runs and driving in four runs. She homered in both the first and second innings to spark the Lady Commodores' offense. The Lady Commodores wasted no time taking control in the bottom of the first inning. Tylaya Lingo tripled to bring home two runs, followed by run-scoring hits from Ivey, Ainyah Stokes, and Lilly Land. McCluney then crushed a two-run home run, and Lingo later drew a bases-loaded walk to make it an eight-run inning.
The Lady Commodores stayed hot in the second inning, scoring 12 more runs on nine hits. Big hits came from Hailey Roper, Bailey Lambert, Ivey, Olivia Hernandez, Land, and McCluney, who added her second home run of the game. Gulf Coast St. took advantage of several Andrew College errors to extend the lead.
Sarah Ham was outstanding in the circle, striking out 10 batters while tossing a perfect five innings. She allowed no hits, no runs, and did not issue a walk in the complete-game performance.
The Lady Commodores finished the game with 18 hits. McCluney and Kelley were a strong duo in the lineup, each collecting three hits while hitting back-to-back. Lingo, Lambert, Ivey, and Land also recorded multiple hits. GC was perfect in the field and did not commit an error.
