Lady Commodores Basketball team secures #1 National ranking:
In the newly released NJCAA DI Women's Basketball National rankings today, the Lady Commodores have moved into the #1 position after their victory over Northwest FL State on Saturday, January 27th. The Lady Commodores defeated the Lady Raiders 74-42. The Lady Commodores were led by Sophomores Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu, Aryelle Stevens, Raiane Dias Dos Santos, and Alieghya Bartholomew. Ozzy-Momodu accumulated 17pts and 9 rebounds, Stevens scored 16 pts (1-1 3's) and grabbed a total of 8 rebounds, Dias Dos Santos scored 13 pts (2-6 3's), 7 rebounds, and 5 assists; and Alieghya Bartholomew accumulated 11pts, 10 rebounds with 5 assists.
Both GC basketball programs are set to host the Pensacola Pirates on Wednesday, January 31st in the Billy Harrison Fieldhouse. The Ladies game begins at 5:30pm and the Men's game will follow at 7:30pm.
