After a back-and-forth game against #3 Indian Hills, the #14 Gulf Coast State Commodores earned a 72-70 upset win to advance to the quarterfinal round of the 2026 NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Championship. The Commodores will return to the court on Wednesday, March 25 at 8 pm on ESPN+.
Gulf Coast will face the winner of the #11 Northwest Florida State vs. #6 Vincennes matchup, which is set for Tuesday, March 24 at 8 pm. Iyran Francis led the effort on the glass with eleven rebounds, three blocks, and added two steals. Trent Lincoln finished with sixteen points, seven rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Jabari Quarterman scored eleven points and recorded three steals, while Devontes Cobbs added 17 points, and Traevon Koch chipped in 10 points in the win.
